Yes thats the loco they used for the Polar Express.....NKP version tho.....NICE locomotive, I've got atleast one or 2 by Rivarossi, myself!

Actually, the Polar Express uses the same number as the locomotive in real life. Take a look.

Oddly enough, the real 1225 has the same number and colors as the Polar Express 1225 so you can pretty much say that the locomotive in the picture above is the real Polar Express.

Still more oddly, Pere Marquette didn't use that engine in passenger service and it was not equipped for things like steam heat. Interesting choice for a train to the North Pole. Brrrr!

I seen the NS Heritage Loco #8100 the NKP loco on BNSF a few miles east of my house on the tank train from Ft Laramie took lots of pics of it But then
I formatted my cam & ERASED all the pics!
