I got these 3 Tyco flats for $5.00 - can't even get one off ebay for this - Super deal - these were on consignment at a dealers table - The ATSF (bottom one) is mint with brake wheel on metal mast - the steps are intact on all 3 also. I also bought 2 railroad tees - Chessie and CSX for $20.00 and 2 CSX Athearn coal porter sets #5 and #6 long out of production - picture coming later on these

Brian,
Can't wait to see the others you got at the show! (I too LOVE those TYCO 50 foot flat cars), they're AWESOMELT detailed to start with even if they are a AT&SF prototype! (Was a article in MR some time ago on them......)

Brian,
What are you gonna put on the flatcars, custom loads or extra trailers?

EM-1 - I have a large collection of the Tyco flats - You use to pick them up for nothing on ebay -but recently i have noticed prices on these have soared as i am guessing demand has caused this -They are great flat cars. I install kadees and metal wheels on mine - currently painting several TT yellow

Brian,
That makes 2 of us..... I paint alot of mine Black and add B&O lettering and then some Oxide red to add Western Maryland lettering as well, as both those roads used 50 foot flats so......

I must say, I believe for there time had some great details AND were able to have interchangable "decks" too!

Nice finds Brianstyco, around here I've only seen them for about $5 EACH.

I've noticed that some of the piggyback cradles come in different colors-all mine are orange, but I've seen a red example and a yellow one, that wasn't faded.

Also my local hobby shop seems to have a large stock of the life like container cars that have the same flatcar as the Tyco except with two square sealand containers. As they are made with trailer train markings rather than ATSF or GN markings, I may have to pick some up.

There's a guy I used to see here at some of the shows, everything in plastic bread trays like that - and everything usually overpriced, although a buddy once got a super rare Gilbert F-unit from him for cheap because the guy didn't know what he had. Not sure how he sells anything when I can have some of the same things for less and carry them around for years.

Model power made thousands of them. There should be some out by you. Here is a better look at a 0-8-0 type in Pennsy. They made 4-6-0, 0-8-0, amd 2-8-0. Only differance was the drive. made in Barzil.
