Guys, To make a long store short, I attended an auction on Thursday of this past week! I'm just now, getting to look through my winnings.....
All in one auction, (It seemed I was the ONLY Model Railroader in the place but maybe one other guy......) He ran the bid up some, but gave up after a short time....I'll "announce" the cost for the entireity at the end of this posting!
Anyway, have a look at these:

LOOK CLOSELY............................I paid a whoppin'..............................$90.00 for the LOT!
I know guys I know, I fall in the S**T and come out smellin' like a rose, I don't how I do it, it seems to find me and I'm not gonna argue with it!
Let me know what ya think....... did I get my moneys worth!? And YES, there is a few Rivarossi's Cab Forwards, Challenger, Y6b, and an EL-5 in there, also a Precision Craft Models Y6b, and a Life-Like Proto-2000 Y3!!!!! One has sound in it, the PCM Y6b..... Also a few basket case Brass locomotivestoo!
I questioned it after I got home, as to how lucky I came off in this one, (I actually attended as it was listed to have "tools" I didn't buy a SINGLE tool! My wife, was like, no tools John, NOPE just $90 worth of choo choo's! LOL
ENJOY,
~John

Where's that pile of cow poo you keep falling into? I WANT a go at it! LOL! Yeah, you should get a visit from the Model Railroad Police, you stole that lot. What a deal. And a steal, even if the other guy "ran" it up some. I'd have paid way more than that, for sure! Congrats on your great purchase, and can't wait to see more detailed pics of the individual engines. Woot!

Guys, I know its a mess of steamers! As for them, Ben, they do have the tenders on ALOT of them, I merely could not get them all in the picture!
I'll have pictures of the locomotives as time permits and they are on my active roster.
As for the cow poo, It finds me, I swear, this isn't the first time I've hit it big like that and I'm sure it won't be the last!
As for the amount, I have not got all counted yet, but Rivarossi seems to be the "favorite" of who ever owned it all......I think, there is 4 Rivarossi Berkshires in there, 3 Rivarossi 4-6-2, 3 Rivarossi 0-8-0's, 3 Rivarossi 0-6-0's, one Rivarossi 2-8-2, One Rivarossi 4-6-4, one Rivarossi Challenger, 2 Rivarossi Cab Fowards, 4 Rivarossi Y6b/EL-5's, one Rivarossi 3 truck Heisler.
Then you got the IHC stuff, 2, 4-8-2's, 5, IHC 2-8-2's, 4, IHC 4-6-2's.....
Mantua, I've noticed, but have not counted yet......So....
And then I believe 3 Brass steamers, 2 of them are 4-4-0's, and I believe a 2-6-0, and I'm not sure but the PCM Y6b is brass as well.......
I'm still in the fog of this haul, needless to say but again, I'm not gonna argue with it!

You must mean the B&O steamer as there isn't any C&O in there that I have found yet.....
Anyway, sadly, thats the PCM Y6b, to be made into a EL class 2-8-8-0.... Unfortunately, I won't be parting with that one!

Whats the matter Nelson? I couldn't help myself! Funny part is, it was an auction that was to have tools for sale which was the whole reason I went just to attend if not spend a few dollars!
Gareth, yeah I thought I got a really good deal.....I'm happy.....Even tho, I didn't come home with tools as I had told my better half, I was gonna!

OHHH that one, an IHC 2-8-2.....Ya should have specified, "Chessie" As opposed to C&O as they to me were 2 different entities!
Which was to be a "stand in" for the Chessie Steam Special excursion that happened from 1978 to 1982......
I'm not sure if that one is complete or not as I'm still sorting through everything to see whats all there and to make a list of what I'm keeping and what I'll be selling/trading.....

Why can't I ever find deals like this? I've gotten some good ones, but nothing like this haul. But to be honest, I don't have a lot of room for the stuff, and then I would have the chore of selling most of it off, which I hate. The money wouldn't be bad, tho.
I guess you have the magic touch, John. Congrats!

I'll do my best to contribute to your hoardingism!
How many of those RRosi 0-4-0's do you have? Rememeber you have to find space for that stunning Adirondack RS3!

Nelson, I'm telling you, I fall into the cow poo all the time.....Alot or I should say most, don't believe me!
Which as time passed on this auction lot I got. this is how I'm gonna break it down.....
As you all know, I have a custom shop/repair shop.
So, the items I want for my own collection will be kept (and used as an advertisement).
There will be repair/replacement parts kept. For YTR purposes.
Then the other stuff thats complete, will be checked and resold in shop as inventory.
Some will be traded, to those of you out there if interested.
Now back to Gareth,
You know, I think there is like 3 or 4 units of the RivRssi 0-4-0's in this mess......Not sure if any are complete, you looking for the 0-4-0 T and the 0-4-0 with tender?
Let me know as there could be atleast one complete loco if all of them put together to make one locomotive! BUT, I'm not possitive!
ALL the 4-4-0's are now spoken for so all you know, they will be headed Kens way!

Hey;
Nope, as I said, no interest in anything to add.
I was joking w/ Nelson cause i just mailed him one...
I'm in the process of amending my collection to a LOT FEWER pieces of specific interest. I could pretty much spend the rest of my life working with what I have.
Mind you having said that, I will add two "Subscription only" units this year, a Rapido FP9A and a True Line Trains SW1200rs. First I have one piece to add from a memeber here but thats it.
I learned some time ago that the more stuff people have the more they seem to want (they would say "need" most likely).

Gareth, You definately got a point with the "want/need" comment! (I'm definately guilty of it myself!)
Happen to have any Athearn round roof heavy weight coaches? I need one for a custom car I'm building to complete a set I have and it requires the roof of that preticular car!

Hey John:
Don't collect passenger stuff. I have one , sorry make that two kits.
Varney embossed side Pullman Tyco streamlined end coach a kit thats CPR.
This latter one will likely end up going to a forum member as I would be kitbashing it and that would ruin a rather UNCOMMON (note not using RARE!) that a Tyco forum member might enjoy having.... Most likely candidate there would be Cheez since it fit's in with his collection pretty well.
Btw, it's open season on anything for my Unimats since they are in the Practical side of life...!

Anyway, another question, your Unimats up for grabs? *O_o* What ya take for the dividing plate and rotary table?

Hey John:
Email me through the forums link and I'll send you a project and construction dwg set for making a pretty nice one...
My DH (there really isn't a Rotary table for the DB200/SL1000) unless you mean the 3 jaw chuck you can mount to the DH for work holding.... only set me back $150. Wonderful deal. Same guy sold me a Mitotoyo 1-2" Mike for $15 cause on of the plastic trim pieces is missing!
I'm after a Threading attachment for which I wil spend the rest of my life looking for the "Patterns" a 4 jaw independent chuck and a slow speed bracket. Nice thing about the Uni is everything I add, adds to it's value.
One of my Uni's is a showroom like model, the other a "Beater" I'm actually going to put both in my will. The good one which hopefully by then will be worth enough to hellp an as yet unborn Grandchild go to college, the other will likely be given to a forum member.

SCVR, Yes I'll be selling and trading some of them, but not all.....Let me know what your interested in as that will/can determine what I want to keep and such for parts and all!
PM me with a list or such.........A side note, Articulateds, as a few here knows, aren't for sale trade or otherwise! (I'm a HUGE articulated fanatic, and alot of my steamers on roster already are articulated! Alot of the others tho, can be fair game!
