A friend from church gave me his entire HO train collection today. I expected a dingy old BN RF16, four or five ratty freight cars, a bunch of broken autos, and a loop of rusted track. Not so. There's a huge box of buildings, and two huge boxes filled with track, scenery, and old Tyco and AHM and Roundhouse trains. Lots of cool stuff. There are a few things I don't want.
Oddly enough, the only things I couldn't use were the NIB Brown-Box Tycos. There's a Golden Eagle C628, its caboose, a Dots Candy 50' boxcar, a coke 40' tanker, a Conrail blue 4-Bay hopper (not sure I want to let this one go, but probably), and a UP 40' gondola with that incredibly bad bright red lettering. I want to be rid of them. Name a price, I don't know what they'd be worth. Every one except the locomotive is new in box, opened only once, by me, to check the couplers. The locomotive's box's cellophane is missing. Oh, and did the C628's come with handrails or no?

i'm interested, i need another golden eagle (although my wife might say different). look on ebay & see what the going rates are.
