Starting off with something purple, got this project ACL F7 at the Bunker Hill WV show last fall, still haven't done anything with it. Might be Marx or Gilbert, I forget. Will work on it this year.

Hi AMC_Gremlin_GT,

I love the paint scheme on the ACL F7. I have a Varney F7B in the ACL scheme but it is in bad shape.

Thanks for sharing.

Those metal shelled, F units are F-3's! I have I believe 3 sets of AB units of them......

I plan to add them to Athearn frames for better running as a few of them, are missing their frames so.....

Nice one Justin! Got a question for ya..... see the cylinders on that 4-8-0? Those are the type cylinder s and size I need, you do alot and may have any of them? I'd purchase a set of those, 2 pairs if you'd have them!

I'd settle right now for one set but.... I actually have 2 separeate projects going on that requires those type cylinders!

Sadly, I'm having one hell of a time finding just one of them for now!

Where, On eBay? What listing?

I just got this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/170833635446?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

The big boy is actually a Rivarossi. The seller and I worked out a deal afterwards that was suitable to both of us.

Thanks guys! My buddy has had it for almost a year now.

I can not wait to see it. There are a few small details yet to be added, like a bell and jewels, but otherwise it is done! He still has to finish my MEW logging mechanical crane. He has had that even longer now. Something like 1.5 years.

He does great ...fantastic work and we work out good deals together, so I dare not push him at all. No sense rocking the boat. I traded him a Tenshodo Challenger for the restoration of the Big Boy, a shay, a Climax, a Heisler and a HOn3 4-6-0.

If anyone has seen what he previously did for my NP Z-8 4-6-6-4 Challenger made by Samhongsa. It was a true basket case when he started!

IGA is International Grocers of America.

I must warn you about Food Lion! Back between 1990-1995...

They were kicked out of Tulsa, OK... It's a fact that they repackage their meats.
They bleach their rotting ham and add seasoning... Don't trust their stores!

Food Lion was on Date Line, 20/20, and a few other information shows...

It's too bad it's the only store in town. But, be warned!

EDITED. Thanks people.

I was/am into collecting reefers (the model railroad kind) and I explained my "Zebrails" name.
Zebras being my favourite animals and railroads being my hobby, I combined the two together.

Zebrails,
Theres no animosity at all, your user name flicked a switch and I had to think alittle as to were I remembered it from.....

As for the refers, all is well. I got the other end of the deal so.....

When we did that trade, we both were in HOYARDSALE, which has changed it name recently to HOInterchange.....

Speaking of, if your interested, I do have more refers too! as they seem to be like bad pennies for me and keep turning up!

Hey Zeb;

No issues with me!

I was remembering a few years back how interested you were in Reefer cars and such.

I think you're seeing something thats not there.

And now back to trains!

Yes, a bunch of SWIFT reefers... I had a big collection of SWIFT reefers, from the earliest time they started to the 50' mechanical types.

Yes... "Had" a big collection, from almost every kit and r-t-r producer that made them.

Traded the whole lot for an awesome dvd set of the oldest railroad videos ever taken. Pre 1900's videos from, believe it or not, Thomas Edison. Also included a bunch of Pennsy videos...
They are "Muskoka Productions" dvd's...

Swift left, oldies galore!

And people, thank you for bringing me up-to-date. I do a lot of thinking, I seldom get bored.
Feast or famine with me.

Now, as far as reefers... it may be a bit before I inquire for more. I've got two locomotives from Bowser coming this year.
Two demonstrators: C-636 and U25B

I am still looking for a decent E Unit, RS 11, RS 27... more and more...

The two Bowsers will cost me over $200, and both with no sound.

I also got something else to show you, too... A timer hooked up to my power-pack...
8:00 a.m. my Proto 2000 U30B with the QSI sound, roars to life and pulls 15 cars (and caboose) around my layout... Total outer mainline loop footage: +55 feet.

That scene in "Arthur" with Dudley Moore, his alarm-clock in his bedroom... I seen it... I MADE it!

Sorry, I got carried away in my simple pleasure-turned-reality!

John

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

That Food Lion story sounds just like what happened in Tampa in the mid 90s, after a local undercover TV consumer reporter was hired in one of their store's butcher depts. He filmed the bleaching of expired hams, etc that were put back out for sale and Food Lion virtually pulled out of Florida within 6 months. The store they had just opened in a nearby strip mall went vacant and then, ironically, became a fitness center!

IGA Foodstores also operate/operated the "Piggly-Wiggly" chain I remember so well from the Midwest growing up.
Now that logo, an upright pink pig in a butcher hat and coat, would really light up the side of a diesel!
