I think this is a "smashing" hit with collectors, rather hard to find, and sells well at auctions from what I've seen. For $15, this nice little piece came home, has all the parts and instructions with it. I was very pleased to have found one of these finally.



Wonder if my modular train club would freak if I incorporated this into a module for shows.

I had one of those crossing things by Bachmann. Worked great with locomotives like GPs where the front truck is close to the front of the locomotive. Then I started running a steamer with a large cow catcher. Guess what, it did not trip the signal in time. Same deal with some of the 0-8-0 locomotives that I had. Also if my kids ran the train to fast the car did not make it. Also flywheel locomotives are dangerous to the car on the tracks.

It is a fun item though.

Cute Bachmann disaster crossing! I'm gonna put on a real disaster crossing by Tyco. Always a riot trying to beat the train(s) ... A tie is even more of a riot!!!
