Bi-annual train show / flea, usually pretty good, has been moved to Charlestown, WV to a bigger venue, very nice. Hope to make some good finds today. Haven't been disappointed yet!

You better believe it! Here's my haul for the day, posted below.

A couple of vendors were making nice deals, so I got some pretty good stuff for cheap. Parking lot was FULL when I got there an hour after it opened, place wasn't packed, but it stayed busy. I still found bargains and hard-to-find items regardless. Here's more -

As you can see, I found plenty to buy, lots of vintage stuff. Found magazines with articles on things I"m interested in, GG1 and UA Turbotrain were two subjects I found magazine articles on. And some D&RG articles for Microbusss, too. Overall a fantastic day in West Virginia, went up to Harpers Ferry, and passed through, here's a pic of the train right-of-way by the town on the river there -

Did stop at one flea market, and found a cool '60's or '50's Rambler ( AMC ) wrench, $1, and a barber's electric hand massager, $3. Set of 1970 Virginia plates, $20. Came home through Frederick, MD down 70/270, just a beautiful day to drive my AMC Hornet wagon. Arrived home about 6 PM, beat the wife home from work, and just finished uploading this pics. Ah, time for a Smirnoff Ice....(Pffffft! Glug, glug, glug....)

What a cool shot, Jerry. I love how the ROW is elevated. Are those wooden timbers, or steel?

I believe it's an active rail line, and they are wooden timbers all, no steel anywhere except on top. EDIT/UPDATE - ok there IS one piece of steel, a small girder bridge where an access road runs under it. But otherwise all wood structure. Here's two additional pics of the area

Lovely area,if you ever get to Wash. DC area, Harper's Ferry is a very historical area, and very beautiful country in the mountains, this rail line follows the river between the mountiains, one reason it's raised on the trestle like it is.

Hi AMC_Gremlin_GT,
Great haul!
What kind of engine is the BN N scale engine? The Diner is very nice. The Majorette Western Auto semi, Corgi Mars truck and red bus are SWEET! Who made the red bus and camper?
Thanks for sharing.

It is beautiful, and it's unusual to see such a long wooden structure like that these days. Usually they were filled in long ago. Thanks.
