Hey guys:

Just thought I'd share this example of someones Kitbashing workon another forum. An Athearn BB Kitbash of a CNR F7Aum trailing position only Booster that kept them in service up into the 90's

Hey Chris:

Best I can do:

F7Aum, class GFB-17b
rebuilt from 9174 May 1983 by stripping cab appliances and covering windows
used only in trailing positions
retired December 1989

Ben:

Read the note in the first posting;

"...trailing position only..."

Use your imagination.....

Yeah Ben Essentially. They stripped the cab controls etc. Not a dummy in the sense that they still had their Prime mover.

Some were just traction motor equipped and took their power from a Mother Unit, a "Slug-Daughter"
