Looks like Building of the Week has been pretty quiet lately.
I found this building at an antique shop this weekend. It was one of only a couple of train things I found all day. I'm wasn't sure of the maker but it felt like Pola to me. I did an image search and found out that it is a Pola Engine Maintenance Shed. I can only find one image of it online. This is the second one of these I have found. The first was at a train show. This one came with a plastic base that has track grooves built in. I'm not sure how that would work as you can't actually hook it up to your track. The idea of an engine trying to enter the building though those doors is laughable they are so small.

I bought this to kitbash into a background warehouse building the same as the last one I bought. I'll post the results on the forum over the next few days.

Nice post bud! I always liked this kit...Looks to be either a AhM or tyco version. It has potential for sure.

Yeah, I noticed the casting of the small door is different than the pola one I saw online. Very subtle but different. I also notice the two I have have slightly different doors from each other . Maybe three companies versions of the same model?

CL, when I was a kid my friend had this kit on his layout, too. We couldn't figure out the small doors or the plastic rails either. About all they could work on is steamer frames or diesel trucks once the locos were dismantled.

I've seen this a few times at train shows, I think the only way it could be realistic is if the base was taken off and it was used as an auto repair shop. I recall the Tyco version having a crane, that would be the perfect size to work on cars.

I had one. Used it for gandy dancers on those rails.
