There's one vendor who seems to specialize in having old Tyco / Mantua stuff on his tables, this year was no exception, I bought quite a bit from him. This wasn't one of them, but the price I guess wasn't too bad, I have heard the B units for these are rather rare, though. Anyone else know about that? I think there were two A's, a B, and a passenger car in this set.

The A unit turns up with some frequency, about the same as the passenger cars, but a B-unit with the sill notch for the gimball truck in that scheme is somewhat scarce, even though B-units seem more common these days than what they were just a few years ago. That said, I wouldn't pay what he's asking. I got an A unit needing some TLC and a set of 3 MIB passenger cars for less than half that.

I missed that set when I was at the show on Saturday. Here is a metal shark nose set I picked up a couple months ago. This is the first time I have seen Southern Pacific decals on the Tyco streamliners.

Beautiful set. I am sure others will be on the lookout for similar ones at local shows.

Ah, now i'm on your page. When you said "yeah? well find the rest of MY Tyco Streamliner set please!" I was just funning around with you.

In any case, I do have two of the silver/blue streamline cars that you mention, but can't find them. I found the ones I just posted, some Santa Fe and one PRR. I'll keep looking.
