Hi, Ken. Since this is listed under slot cars I am guessing you are wanting to run slot cars & trains on the same layout? If so there are several different slot car/rail crossings offered. I use the old style Tyco as pictured..

If you want to run some on rails, the Tyco Turbo train is a slot chassis/train wheeled hybrid, I was working on one last night. Could be used to put car chassis's on it, but it is a very LONG chassis, but anyway, another option. There aren't many options for running automobile type vehicles on railroad tracks, due to the small size. There are some wireless and wire type autos and trucks that run on special roadways on layouts now, and I found a YouTube video of a small HO scale vehicle that had R/C in it! Amazing.

RC on an HO scale layout- like this???

This is reallly close in size. Heck- you could probably kit bash it with a 1:87 scale Walthers kit. http://www.amazon.com/Children-White-Plastic-Flexible-Transport/dp/B005X42VAK/ref=sr_1_23?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1326683677&sr=1-23
That sounds like a really neat project. 1/87 scale RC trucks and cars.
Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Well my dream could come to reality soon. I was on Feller site and they have what I'm looking for. I asked for a cat. on their stuff. Looks great. I'm looking forward to see what the cost will be.I know it won't be cheap its only money and at my age why not. Ken

Ahhh... COOL!!!
Way simpler than what I had posted up about RC stuff. I was thinking that RC... while really neat and endless in possibilities... would create too large an effort to control. But this... the Faller system... is pretty easy & almost fool proof.

I remember seeing an HO scale traction layout at a train show years ago. The guy running it had a little RC bus. It was pretty neat.
If a company made 1/87 RC cars with low enough gearing for realistic running speeds, I'd definitely be on board
Ken: Keep us updated on how things go with the Faller system!
