I finished the paint job on the lighted SW7 calf last night and will decal it next week, when that Bel waterslide decal paper gets to me. After that, I will knock the Badger Modelflex shine off with Dullcote.

Had a feeling you would chime in on this one! I also have not one , but TWO NC5 Pennsylvania steel cabeese already primered and masked for one color, but I want to nail down the home made decal thing before proceeding further. Anyway, I have 10 waterside decal sheets on their way at a real cheap price ( $11.00 ) so I have to wait.
Just as an aside, if anyone who has worked with making their own decals, tell me a few tricks of the trade, such as the best brand/type of overspray to use to coat them before using....
And what is this stuff about using Future floor wax on the model paint to provide a grossly surface? How does that get removed after the decal sets?
