Here is a poor shot of an original AHM Center Cab diesel I won the bid on last week (before I was over-run by other bidders on other stuff). This cost only $18.00 with shipping (postal) and I will keep it as OEM reference for the Center Cab project one I built this past fall, except for chnaging out the horn hooks for Kadees. It came this afternoon when I got home from work. Sorry for the poor focus job.

Nice, Ron! If you are a new ebayer here is a bidding tip. WAIT to bid, just before the auction ends. It's called snipe bidding and it leaves little to no chance of other bidders running the price up during the auction time.

There's a website called BidNip, that I use. You load the auction number in and set when you want BidNip to bid for you. I set mine for 3 seconds, before the auction closes Yes, 3 seconds... before the auction ends.

I hope I wasn't unclear.

At least you got it. I bought a couple Soo line centercab diesel shells for this model some months ago, I hope to paint one end blue to create an American Motors themed engine for their Kenosha, WI factory. I've got a book by Arthur Shay that has photos of the AMC factory, and it shows flats , gons and boxcars with metal products, so it would be a prototypical scenario to make a small switcher diesel for the plant property. I wouldn't mind a couple more chassis's myself of this switcher.

There were some other ones, but higher priced. This guy is an old railroader who switched from HO to N years ago and had some old HO stuff to unload. I think he started off at $10.00, but the other ones were pricey.

It may only pull a boxcar or three, but it's a might nice little engine to have on any layout with commercial structures!

I just wanted a baseline model to contrast my Siouxlake Center Cab with for now, but as a budding rebuilder, I could see my way to doing a few more- say as a Great Northern, or a private industry label as you suggest.
