i have heard a lot of complaints about under packing, but it works in reverse as well,to many items in box,a lot of fragile items packed with a heavy diecast one, this one is where the protective bubble wrap was to tight,so when winning a job lot its worth thinking about having to many items in one box,to save on postage,as some sellers do not think about using a larger box,or may not be able to get one,and feel under pressure to get item to you, ken

Yeah Ken,

Heavy in with light unless you IMMOBILIZE everything is a recipe for disaster.

Sorry this happened... you can now make it part of a Rascal set though. Remove the damaged detail and build a "composite" set to give to a kid as a starter set.

Conversely, you could parkit outside the car repair shop as damaged in collison whichit kinda was!

Hell, my first round of train stuff was not only used, but given to me by a biker! And I am not talking about the kind that ride mountain bikes. He gave me a balsa wood tressel bridge he made by hand. I never have been able to build another as good!

Romcat-Genius! I saw a Tanker that flipped on the Old Fort Loops that was TOTALED! The ends weren`t there! The Dome was crushed, and It was sitting in the yard. Spencer yard used to randomly organize the cars in the train and it was lighter than all the cars behind it, so it flipped over on a curve. Brian, You have any pics? I got one but its on my camera. I saw it at the yard on a mix matched set of trucks at the bottom of the loops.

Is that an Internountain car? Looks fixable, but those things are ridiculously fragile, as are seemingly most of the newer-tooled cars these days.

I too have had things over-wrapped, but very rarely broken. In fact I've only had one truly lousy packing experience where stuff was broken. On the flipside, I can't count how many times I have cursed forgotten deities over well-meaning sellers who hermetically sealed items within layers of bubble-strata mummified under a half roll of clear weatherseal tape...

I don't think I will ever buy a Rapido car.

I already have a reservation on a Rapido FP9A but the nature of it makes it less susceptible to damage, I hope!?

Should have said "another" Rapido as I have a Steam Jenny too in CNR, but again the character of the unit makes it somewhat easier to handle than a Hood Unit or rolling stock.
