Went to get some more turnouts last weekend and came home with this set instead, as you do.

The Pony Express! What first caught my eye was the Western Union kit, Tyco's Railroad Hotel in a former life. Throw in a zippy 0-4-0 and some interesting rolling stock and the turnouts had to wait. This set is the first I've bought where none of the items have been discontinued. Factory fresh!

That it does, romcat! But I think I'll discard Model Power's suggestion and make mine a Railroad Hotel. I love that Old West saloon bar look!

Dude! The WU building is still a current item... I think. Pick one up in the post Christmas sales!

But a trade sounds interesting, don't happen to have a spare Rolling Bridge by any chance do you?

Aw pity. Just as well, I guess. No room for a giant bridge and I'm not changing my layout plan for the umpteenth time. Besides, I've already opened the WU box!

Taycotrains! That's one of the earliest Tyco sets, when Baldwin Sharks were shiny and new - full size ones I mean. My Tyko T-2 consist with Bachmann plastic just doesn't compete.
