Redwoods, how much is Bowser selling that lot for? I'd buy it and once and a while cast all neccesary parts for whole kits.Cast individual parts and sell them on the cheap.

Beautiful engine, Erich.
Justin, I have no idea, I'm sure that the final price needs to be negotiated. Just all the machines themselves will be in the 10s of thousands of dollars.
For what it's worth, I can't see anyone going into this business today. For the amount this would go for, you could probably send a bunch of 3D computer files to China and produce the same locos with DCC, sound, and smoke, RTR.
That said, I would be the first to say that there is enormous satisfaction in building a Bowser loco yourself.

I'd probaly hire some folks from the hobby to help out if I had that kinda cash. I'd re-tool the drivers for code 83 rail friendliness, add can motors with brassworm/flywheel combo and have it fully assembled and have a NMRA 8 pin plug for DCC users.

Ive Wanted to start my own company for the NH Fans Like Sean and I. We Like The NH, and no plastic mass produced FL-9 Model made by a company that isn`t charging $249.99 For a non-painted kit, thats outrageous for the budget modeler.(like me, Im running of birthday cards and christmas and my good grades in school)

Sadly enough YES, Bowser has sold ALL of there steam loco inventory, ALONG with ALL their molds for die casting the parts....They no longer make any of them, and I'm not sure what has become of the tools and such for mass producing them at this time!
For awhile they were selling off the parts supply they had in stock but at current, not much is left of that inventory of replacement parts.
In regards to this, they do however still manufacture the Cal-Scale brass detail parts for steam and the whole line, there of....

WELL, from what I was told it was sold! As I had talked with Lee on different aspects of the Steam department and they said it was sold....I was interested in different locomotives molds, and parts manufacturing...
I would suspect someone bought it as a small time person, not for big business, but that's something I'm un-sure of, kept to quite to say otherwise.
I had asked who bought it, and he would not enlighten me on who had purchased it.
