My steam contribution to LOTW is a Mantua Shifter, vintage 1952?, I bought yesterday at a high-end antiques flea market show. $20 took this nice steamer home. The plastic drawbar is broken, and the motor doesn't turn over, but hopefully with a little tuning, it'll be chugging along soon.

Not sure if this is a repaint or not, apparently there was an unmarked/unlettered version sold, #209 in the catalog, but that was all black, I think. This one obviously has green paint on it, so could have painted over any other marks there. I don't see any lettering bleed-through on the paint, so it might be one of those undecorated units that has been detailed. I didn't really notice the green until I got it outside to photograph, then the light hit it and I saw it was not all black.

The draw bar should be easily interchangable with other Mantua's 0-4-0. The motor, spray the front and rear bearings with PB Blaster. Twist the worm back and forth both ways. If that don't work, put the whole motor in rubbing alcohol, let it soak, then try it again.

I likes those E units too, especially with chrome.
My LOTW is a Revell Omaha switcher. Over 50 years old and still running great.

Love the streamlined steamers and the diesel streamliners, guys!
Now this is what I call a steam locomotive! Boston and Maine Mountain class 4-8-2 by Mehano for IHC, I believe from a C&O prototype. Looks smooth, runs smoother and makes some of my newer Bachmann steamers seem raucous in comparison. Vanderbilt love is a fine and tender thing.

Sweet lokey...those vandys go back to an old mold, made to fit a motor in it back in the daze of tender mounted motor drives. Pemco picked them up back in the 80s, then Mehano. A real vandy never*** had a squared fuel bunker like that.
***I'm sure someone will pull out a pic of one with a square bunker from some Wheretheheckarwee & Absentia RR collection

Hi Guys!
Been gone a little while. Things are a bit hectic here.... About to go under a major remodel and my Mother-in-law suffered a broken hip about two weeks ago, so it has been quite rough. She was our live-in morning and afternoon care giver for our two girls.
This is my LOTW:
It is a brass bicycle locomotive. I bid on and did not get the die cast one offered on eBay last week. This one came as a surprise to me. It was thrown in as an extra by the seller of the brass lot of locomotives shown below:

It came with this lot:
