Just wanted to thank Hypo publicly for finding the needed parts in his junkbox to replace the missing axles and bottom truck plate for my AHM Amtrak FP45. Just got it reassembled, and tested it on my 3 foot EZ test track. Nice and smooth, but needs some crud cleaned out of the brush area, arcing like crazy, seems to be some threads down in there. But it's rolling again after being sold as a junker. Thanks, Mike, much appreciated. Gotta love the people on this Forum, many are so very helpful and generous helping others with advice, or sometimes parts, as needed. Glad to be a part of this non-critical , mostly fun Forum.

FYI- The chassis on the AHM FP45 Dummy units will work on a power unit. I change them out once in a while when one finds a power unit with broken steps. There is a clear plastic support bar in the cab that needs to be cut out. Then it will fit perfectly.

Hey Jerry,

Glad to hear the parts made it and were the right ones! Too bad you did not know about the motor, as I have a couple of those as well

After I cleaned it, it seems to be running much better. I think it just needs some operational time now, to wear off any built-up crud. But it's definitely rolling now! Thanks again, Mike
