Ken:
Contact Mike (Hypo) see if he can cast you one in Resin if that material will work. You'd have to send him the existing one as a pattern.

hi gareth that piece is about 6mm from longest end to end,for his costs it would most likely be cheaper to buy new motor, which would be a real shame considering this one is not even broke in and original ken

Ken : use plastic sheet, hard cardstock or thin wood. Make 2 or 3 using the remaining one as a pattern. Match the thickness, 2 or 3, and glue together. It may work. frank
PS. Oh Ken when you are done, and it works, the original part will appear from nowhere.

If you have a vacume with a clear plastic cup you get to see the vacume fan blades blow it around before it breaks it. frank

It's around Ken, and when you're no longer looking for it as Frank hinted at it will reveal itself!

LOL! I know how ya feel Ken. The motor sorta looks like an Pitman motor used by Varney.

Hi Ken, I had the same problem I make one out of an old circuit board. Took some time but worked great. Ken

Ken has the right idea, because those parts are made of phenolic, which is what circuit boards are made from. You might be able to cut and file a piece of scrap PCB to shape.

Ken if you had an old slotcar, or another motor like that, it may have a piece like that I've seen it before. Shouldn't be too tough to find. Keep a stiff upper lip mate. You can barely see them in this pic.

My understanding is: 1.You lost the piece, did not break it. 2. It is somewhere nearby. 3. It is in a room with carpet or lots of clutter.
If so, try this: take a regular vacuum cleaner, place a thin piece of fabric over the end of the hose. A 'hanky' will do. Go vacuuming around the room with the flexible hose while you are gripping the fabric around the end of the suction hose. It will suck up the piece but, not go into the vacuum because the fabric acts like a net. Learned that from my mom. Or you folks might say,"me mum".
Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.

If you know the thickness, or have some calipers, I have scrap blank PCB material, I can probably mail you some scraps to use, if necessary. Although if you're outside the USA, it might get pricey to mail, didn't check on your address. :)

What does this have to do with Ken's thread? Don't you think this would be better in the trading post, maybe with a photo and a price?
