i have never seen one of these come up on ebay uk before,boxed or otherwise,its complete and unbroken,i love it,more so as its cnw,ken

not a rivit counter,but the level of detail is much better than the like of modelpower and lifelike so why did they not sell in large amounts,or enough to make ertl continue

Ain't no telling. Don't see too many hangin' 'round these days.Ertl didn't do so well in trains, so they went back to there lil' tractors and partnering with AMT.Now, if that retailed new fer $9 and 'em rivet counters saw that, they'd probaly still make 'em!

oh I'll tell you why Ertl failed in the train market It was the HIGH prices of their stuff!!
I saw a HO scale semi-truck with 2 John Deere tractors on a flatbed & it was over $60!
