Another round of severe weather hit where i live today here in NC. Last Friday - WE were hit with rain of 6 inches per hour falling causing massive flooding and damage to local rail lines. Today - a possible F3 Tornado hit where i live - damage in form of trees /power lines down - property damage ranging from ripped roofs to trees on homes /vehicles - Here are a few pics - trees on railroad tracks in Belmont NC - Norfolk Southern RR tracks. Can trees derail trains? Never hear of it happening, with all the narrow corridors thru woods and stuff, and occasional downed trees probably hit at speed, I'd think not so common. With this many, maybe. Wow.
