IIRC the LL mold is super common, so in theory shouldn't any manufacturer tankcar* ladder that is similar work?
*of the same type of course
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader

Not quite...LL used pins mounted 1-2 rungs down the ladder to mount it. TYCO used the ends of the rail and Athearn used holes in the rail to allow the hand railings to hold them. Guess which ones I can't find in my box....

what billboard / roadnames did LL tankers have? I'll check my toy stock to see if I have any LL tankers, not sure I do. A picture wouldn't hurt, either.

It occurred to me as I read this that I don't think I own a single LL tanker car. Plenty of about everything else, but no tankers.

This is my first, don't even have a junker to strip. Came with a Campbell's set I bought, it was in great shape and an excellent deal 'til the seller packed them like they were bricks...unprotected, rubbing against each other for 1200 miles...oh it was sad....

That's too bad about the shipping. I looked at that set, but I'm trying to cut back on my purchases.

Wow, would you believe with all the junk and spares I've got around here, I also don't have a LL tanker. But that one on the pic looks different from the ones I'm familiar with, I thought LL's tanker was shorter and clunkier (I'm picturing that red "Koppers" one they use in sets now)?
Sorry to hear about your luck. It's always terrible when you have a great deal destroyed by shipping.

Thanks for the help guys...
Ken, I emailed the last listing, it went unsold, maybe I can snag it still. Would you believe the other one would've cost as much as my whole set shipped?
