Hi !
Won the tyco Piggyback unload / load set a while back and wanted to add It to my layout.. It's missing the 4 way remote control. If anyone has One they'd be willing to sell let me know. Or does anyone know How to build one.. I was wondering if I could try looking around Radio shack
Appreciate any info you have... Mike

I may actually have one of these, I'll see if I can remember to look.
As for making your own, that might not be a bad idea. The Tyco controller is actually pretty flimsy. A pair of SPDT (center-off) rockers or toggles should work. One runs the tractor back / forth; the other runs the lift up / down. They are independent so it shouldn't be hard to rig up.

this brings up an interesting point for me as I won one of these critters recently, with the switches and the motors, is it a constant speed?
now that I am thinking of it, building my own box would not be a bad idea...make it look more "industrialish"
EDIT: just remembered something, since I haven't seen these buggers a lot on EBAY (course I really wasn't looking) how rare is this model and what price does it fetch?
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader

I actually picked one up on ebay! .99 seemed reasonable :-) 5 bucks to ship though seemed a little steep..
I meant to ask this before.. I've also seen pictures from other Piggyback loader/unloaders an they have it as well..
any idea why there's a circular hole next to the fork lift?

Just an update for anyone who may have this need: the controller actually housed the resistors and I guess it's a diode? that does the stepdown voltage and ac-dc conversion just grabbing a radio shack switch is going to burn out your motor (thankfully didn't happen to mine but came close).. I did get one from e-bay though and it works great!! planning on doing a christmas display with all the action cars/accessories I can fit onto a 4x4 board :-)

if it the lifting one with the forklift I want that too & the modern one as well That old forklift one would be great for the older Tyco trailers that don't have the edges hehe
