Here at Frankford roundhouse a pair of Baldwin baby face diesels have come out of the paint shop. They look great. Smooth runners and reliable for longevity service in all types of weather conditions.

The TF Railroader News May 1 2013 Morning Edition Snoopy reporting
Today a large freight set from upstate New York came down the Hudson River. To interchange at Bergen Point New Jersey. Power provided was a pair of GP7s. First one number 0596 with dynamic breaks the other one number 0598 without. They entered the turntable to be realigned for their way back north. They came long hood forward and will leaving the same way after some servicing. They were turned together. The 100 foot turntable can handle the pair at one time. About the GP unit's. They are Lionel bodies powered by Athearn GP drives. If my engines run even a little they get put to work. No collection here. Just a trains I run and some I want to run once fixed.

As with everything in life things are always changing. Here at the Frankford Roundhouse some foreign power is in house now being serviced. Some F3s and a high nose GP7. Santa Fe and Rock Island and Monon and New Haven join Lackawanna and New York Central F3 units. It is a busy day at Bergen Point.

The Frankford Railfest of Articulated Locomotives is here at Bergen Point New Jersey. Many large locomotives flock to Frankford Roundhouse for this event. An open house with many things going on. A day of trains.

To Chief Engineer Catford Branch PGW. Tracks and ties are constantly checked out and are strong enough for those engines. We here at the Frankford branch PGW are ready for anything concerning coal as well. Our large coaling tower will supply all our needs. Not to worry. Our only problem is just one pub here. We may run out of beer.
Rebuilt H12 44 Chesapeake and Ohio engine pulling a short freight consist thru Bergen Point.

Hello Snoopy. I am glad to hear that. We here at the GWR branch have to import from Russia. Our coal mines were shut in the late 1980s. Hard to keep the locos going due to increasing costs. Still our Pacific engines are ready and able to do their daily tasks of transporting people and products.

The TF Railroader News September 28 2013 Morning Edition Snoopy reporting
A look at the PRR Q2 duplex drive locomotive. It is on display track 1. Directly behind the PGW Bergen Point office building. Located at the Frankford engine facility. This locomotive has the look of a articulated drive 4-4-6-4. However in reality she is a solid frame 4-10-4. She has cylinders added to increase power and smoothness of operation.

A CNJ K1 class 4-8-0 has arrived at the Frankford Roundhouse. She arrived after a painting and lettering at the Saylorsburg Roundhouse. She is one beautiful locomotive. As well as reliable and powerful for heavy loads.

That locomotive looks like it has a lot of muscle Frank. Neat! Next we see a Southern Pacific freight set led by a black widow F3 unit. Seen over Forest Creek near Auburn California.

Superb gorgeous photos Frank and Thomas. Love that gorgeous overlook. It is a beauty all right! Does that tender have a water scoop under the middle Frank? That is a whole lot of fuel bunker for the amount of a water tank.

Today I heard the whizzing sound of a European Electric locomotive. I found an Italian class E636 slipping around a freight set to couple up and run. The PGW never stops astounding me in its variety of locomotive power. Like it is a proving ground for the worlds locomotives. The PGW here at the Frankford branch and the Catford Branch always test our locomotives. Always in their search for the best. Here she is heading to couple with some freight cars in Frankford.

Hi Snoopy I had that loco by Lima and it ran quite well but we decided overhead was not the way forward. As we prefer steam engines on our Catford Branch. Frisco USRA does a fine job here in Catford Township.

Well I have received a copy of a new PGW railway logo. It has not been accepted yet. It is in the concept stage at this time. I will publish it here to check response to it. It has been forwarded already to the Catford branch for evaluation. Here at the Graphic Design Department we has struggled with this. How to put a P and G and W together in a presentable way on a logo. Let us know what you think about them.

I like the second one better Frank. Like the look of number one except it says GPW to me. As far as number two I might even omit the Railway wordage altogether. Make Pennsylvania Great Western larger and bolder. Good colors.

First logo looks right for the 21st century. The second logo looks more like a railroad with some history behind it. It is the way logo design would have looked in the late 19th or early 20th century. Let the goal drive the decision.

Today a group of cars were off loaded at the Johnston Ave docks. They were sent to Chief of Maintance Toptrain. They were manufactured in the Kleinbahn Railway Works. Located at Wien 1 Schottencing Vienna Austria. Shipping was handled by E Jaritz Export.

The TF Railroader News March 10 2014 Morning Edition Toptrain Reporting
The Pennsylvania Great Western Railway facility here at Bergen Point has always been filled with interesting things going on. The roundhouse facilities here provide some of the best of railway engineering found anywhere. The equipment has always been varying and interesting to view. With the large amount of work being done here space is of a premium. Out in the north end of town the end of a siding is now being used for locomotive storage. Chef Engineer toptrain has informed me that these locomotives are there. They wait in the roundhouse for rebuilding. Also possibly preparation for shipment to other PGW facilities and other railroads.
Seen here are three 2-4-2 Columbia types and a consolidation 2-8-0. Residents and travelers can easily access the area to see up close these steel, steam breathing, monsters of the rail.

A camelback engine had a breakdown in front of the Bergen Point Station. The freight train had the disabled engine replaced with a Mikado engine. The Mikado moves over switches with the power replaced and the train is on its way.

Do I see an Erie gondola? My dad had one of those that he passed on to me to play with. It survived for many years but not quite all the way though. It started to wear out over time I do not know whatever happened to it. Shame since she had very heavy stiff cardboard sides. Nice train with all those Mantua cars. I photographed another Super Chief set as she speeds thru.

Thank you that makes sense since my memory was seeing those paper sides getting frayed. It seemed to me it was all paper. It was a very long time Frank. We see an Operation Life Saver train as it travels thru Jenkinsville Nebraska today. As always stay far away from the tracks as you safely photograph and videotape trains.

Good evening this is Richard White reporting for the first time. My first pictures show Western Maryland #763 returning from light work done at Bergen Point. The crew at Frankford roundhouse did a great job of repairing her braking system.
Engine 763 passing some track workers at the Narrows near Cumberland Maryland.
After turning on the wye the crew picked up workers and retired for the night.

Concerning Western Maryland locomotive #763. It is a fine piece of machinery. Your home shops have done a complimentary job of maintaining this locomotive. For it is in perfect running order.
