Some vintage posts and photos from various shows just outside New Hope Pennsylvania.
I went to two shows back in the day. No more for now.
Post your photos if you have any from that wonderful show.
Was held at a New Hope fire house center.

The New Hope Pennsylvania train show is at the firehouse off route 202.
The show is tomorrow October 14 2012. I do not have the flyer so I can not post it.

To get there from New Jersey take 202 to the Delaware river crossing of 202.
Continue straight on to the first red light. The fire house can be seen from the road to the left.
Make a left at the first light and another into the first driveway on the left.
Park your car and enjoy the show. Starts about 9 AM .

I will be there tomorrow morning about 7 am to set up. I will post some photos soon.
Frank

Another show a year earlier

New Hope Pennsylvania.train show
Sunday May 1 2011

Sunday is the New Hope Train show.
Under new Management. It is at the same location.
The fire house just off route 202.
At the intersection of North Sugar Road.
Coming from New Jersey cross route 202 bridge to New Hope and less than 5 minutes up the road.

It is a left turn at the first red light.
As you come up to the traffic light it is the first building on the left.
And after the turn it is still the first building on the left.
See you there this Sunday.

Back from the show. I seen taycotrain and his son there.
It was nice to see them again. On the what I got side.

A lot of common stuff and one odd engine.
That would be a Bev Bel GP30 Reading.
It is just like my NYC version a Bachmann spectrum body and a athearn GP35 drive.
Nice detail due to the Spectrum body and great Bev-Bel Paint.
Bad part is body is not fastened to athearn drive.
If you forget and pick it up from body sides the drive falls down.

Not a good thing. This does not effect operation.

Other stuff.

2 Tyco GP20's NYC.
A Model Power PRR old time 2-8-0.
5 gilbert cars.
1 revell car.
5 Tyco cars.
1 trainminature reefer IGA.
1 Red caboose reefer Italian Swiss Colony wine company.
4 car set of Santa Fe passenger cars in fair condition.
And 1 Athearn 40 foot box car.
Also the last thing is what I think is an Aurora HO scale building.
It is a school house. On the chimney it says Aurora schoolhouse.

This is cast into the chimney.

I will post the flyer. Here it is.
I know I will be there when the show opens.
John Deangelis does a lot of work to get this show going.
It should be good. For me it is a little over a hour drive.

Well Charlie and George and Bob.and me will be there.
I hope it does not snow tomorrow.
C U there.

Light snow fell yet I thought attendance would be slight.
I was not counting the people but it seemed a nice turnout.
The day became warm for what was predicted and it did not snow where I live until later that night.

The train show had all gauges except for Z.
N gauge train group set up their traveling layout and all the children from 5 to 95 enjoyed it running.
A giant was there with a smile as big as the world.
A very nice man. He and the members of his club did a great job of operating their layout.
For all those in attendance to enjoy their masterpiece.

There was also another layout close by the N scale one.
About 2 1/2 foot square in size.
It may have be Z gauge.
In the 4th view you can see it .
It has two little boys looking at it.
So I may be wrong about what I said about Z gauge not being there.
There were many families and lot of kids.

I will post photos of views of the show.
Thanks go out to John DeAngellis and his family.
Also the show hosts along with the members of the Eagle Fire Company.
All of them allowed the use of their location.
It is a very nice place. I should have taken a photo of the outside of this location.
Very nice to view and the people of New Hope should be proud of it.

Train show photos.

In this last photo is also my table on the right side.

A few months later I went to the next show in New Hope. I missed Frank by an hour or so.

I stopped at the show May 4 2014 before railfanning the New Hope diesel train.
Got there late but some dealers were open for business.
Bought a few items. I did not take pictures inside since Frank already posted some from February.
I took photos from outside the fire house and of a bit of New Hope. As well as the tourist train nearby.

At least I covered the outside of the show. McDonald's nearby.

I only bought a few items since I prefer to keep my collection at a minimum level.
Chessie Tyco engine and a Tyco Burlington hopper car and a Bachmann barn were enough.
Even though I got there late some dealers were open.
And some of them had large amounts of Athearn and Bachmann
And Tyco and Lionel. No charge to get in since it was about to close.

My three items in my backyard.
