Nice cars, but what happens when you have a damaged gantry and a damaged Santa Fe crane car. Custom time, just spent the past few hours trying to find out what I did with it.

Always something popping up I've never seen in Tyco. I tried to do an AI search on the number of Tyco varieties and received a response of greater than 500 logos and road names alone. The exact number is unclear with more than 60 body types.

Oh you opened the Pandoras box. There are items I have not found on any list, don't drive yourself crazy, just enjoy the ride. :)

A very fun piece and a lot of memories. It was definitely one of the coolest offerings by Tyco. Now, if I remember correctly, you posted it with a Gantry Crane Set along with a spiffy Tyco diesel and matching caboose in BN green.
I can't find the thread at the moment, but I was delighted with the fact that it was a carpet layout. Why this is so neat is because that is so Old School and I get a kick out of seeing people doing that. If you find an older John Armstrong track plan book, there on the cover are designs laid onto the living room floor with trains winding around furniture legs. No modern publication would be caught dead doing that in this day and age (much less horn hook couplers), but in John's day, this was more the norm than the exception, given the spare time and money modelers had. I think it was the unforgettable Lyn Wescott who started publishing 4x8 track plans (the Model Railroad that Grows) on 4x8 slabs with detailed instructions on L-Girder construction.

Nowadays, the emphasis is on hyper-realism, which is fine, but I prefer my nostalgia.
