I went to the Wayne train show sunday 10-26 and got a couple of locos. One I always wanted even though I could never run it due to the fact that it is 3 rail AC and not 2 rail DC. I woild have prefered a DC model. Ypou get what you can get. It is a model of streanlined pacific locomotive made in Germany during WW2. A favorit of the mad man who was to lose the world was 2. Marklin calls it #3089. It has road number 03 1055. And has it type # S 36 seen on the lococabe side. You would think it had some type of nick-name. I wonder if you can get a kit to convert it to DC.
Anboby got a Marklin power supply?
Here is my German streanline pacific
Hope you like it. frank toptrain

Remarkable piece. I vaguely recall an article about DC conversion, surely some way to do it.

hey chops! The most important thing is getting replacements for the drivers, and removing the third rail (center rail) for the motor conection, and getting tender pickup for the DC return. I dont know how this will effect the control chip for the loco. I wonder if their was a DC version of this locomotive. If only this loco was old enough to predate DCC. I havent looked into that. frank toptrain
