My COTW is this covered hopper. I wanted a second covered hopper with the old-fashioned square hatches and had an extra open hopper, boxcar roof, and some ice hatches, so I did what railroads sometimes do and converted what I had to what I wanted:

My Car Of The Week is this Marx car I found Sunday at an antique mall in East Liverpool, Ohio:

I know it’s about as toy-like as you can get, but fifty years ago I had a Marx train set that contained this car, so I had to get it.
