How do the trucks/bogies come off these & how do you replace couplers?

I don't have a clue who made this car. Metal sides, everything else wood, riding on Central Valley trucks.

Isn't it a honey? The matching C 430 is just like it. So hard to find!
This same guy is supposed to be sending me a Tyco F9 Victoria
Railways. The mystery of Tyco Australia still has me completely
baffled.
