Wow, didn't know Hotwheels had any trains again! Thanks for posting that, Ben. I've got a couple partial sets of those fold-out -80's Hotwheels train terminal playsets, with molded HO brown track, I think I have a mining set and one other. I forget the name they called them back then. But the track is exactly HO width, so you can use your standard HO on them. Pretty neat, maybe they didn't sell well then.

Just bought these, one ea. for my girls and the 3rd for me, ha ha. They fit the current "wood train /thomas" tracks too.
I have a few pieces from the 80's Hot Wheels Railroad (yes, that's what it was called) line. The sets were great, but as I recall the tracks were very brittle: once you broke a connecting tab (which was stupidly easy to do), fuhgeddaboudit. But the operating engineer / brakeman was too cool.
Fun fact: those 80's HotWheels trains were as long as typical N scale, as wide as TT, and ran on HO scale track.
They're typically not too valuable last I was looking... except the complete mint sets. Shame they don't make those big sets anymore, even the standard ones for cars were just too cool.

yeah I remember the HW Railroad Also HW had a matching Peterbuilt tanker truck too
The tanker is SOLID diecast Wouldn't these look great on a HO layout? Also HW had a steam loco with 2 V8 motors in it Rail Rodder But that doesn't really count

Wonder if this truck came in the 5-car packs? I have NEVER seen this truck before. I almost never buy 5-packs because usually there's only 1 car I want, and I don't feel like wasting 4 bucks for a different paint job. I'll have to keep an eye out for this Peterbilt at shows.

I had the Sto & Go freight yard. However one item I had and see very little on was this. http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/hotwheels-trains-railroad-stow-75866477 I'm pretty sure I had mine hooked in with the freight yard, made a awesome addition
I also just picked up the railroad tanker truck awhile ago at a flea market. Damn near perfect condition I was pretty shocked!

THere were several color variations, I forget them all. But I think I picked up most of them at one time, except the 5-pack color. I just don't buy 5 packs normally for one item. I'm sure there were 4-5 different colors over a few years with this one.

Hit a Wal-mart last night looking for Johnny Lighting, but found the new Hotwheels Trains instead. I bought the orange diesel and observation set -

$4, not a bad price. Had the maroon steam engine, but that one didn't do much for me yet. So I just got this one.

Just picked up another one tonight, a chromed J4 type streamlined pair. The car is a domed observation. The TRU I went to had a whole shelf of them, I saw 7 distinct types. This one DEFINITELY appealed to me!

Definitely a keeper.

Hi All,
My Wife found me another Rail Rodder today, Along with a bunch of diecast cars for .25 each. The Rail Rodder is dark blue metalic, Kind of hard to see in the picture.
Thanks for looking. Mike
