Hello, can I run the Tyco cars on code 83 track without any problems? Mainly because of the Tyco plastic wheels. Thanks.

Yes the Tyco cars will run fine.
I built roughly half of my layout with code 83 and I now regret it, only because I've been collecting some Rivarossi engines with deep flanges and they will bottom out. In the future I'm using only code 100.

I've run Tyco on code 83, but not Rivarossi. Sounds problematic. Less than code 100 are modellers trying to achieve greater realism. Sort of a nonsequitor with Tyco.

Thanks. I can use code 83 but code 100 is a safer solution.

FOr what it's worth, back in the day I ran my C430s on my dad's layout, which was code 83 on the main and code 70 on the passing tracks. Got stuck in the siding waiting for other trains many times, but didn't have a problem running those units on the small rail.
