Got a nice Tyco Model A, but the pick ups are a bit mangled.
Since a quick fix does not suggest itself, seems that swapping
out the whole chassis would be my best bet. McGuyver I am
not. Problem is, when I look up Tyco chassis, there seem to
be at least two dozen variants! What should I be
looking for?

I never had Tyco slot cars until I put this layout up. I know there are a couple or a few different chassis. As a kid I use AFX cars. I have yet to study about the different chassis' and parts that fit.

This is the seller's picture, the pick up shoes look like they got bent at some point.
Maybe it's an easy fix. It is a Tyco piece, that much I am pretty sure.

Tyco Pro chassis. Any wide pan chassis will do. HP2, HP7 and440X2. The Pro originally had buttons, but, it was common to make makeshift wipers.
