Hello all...
The other day I came across a decent find at an antique shop...a whole crop of old trains. I ended up with a pair of locomotives after paying all of $12.00...a 70's era Bachmann Penn Central GP-40 (frame is cast metal and all 8 wheels drive), and a late 70's early 80's era Atlas Conrail GP-40. After cleaning the wheels and oiling the motors, both locos run great. I do need the following for them,if anybody can help. I need the handrails for the Atlas GP-40, as well as the cab glass (if it was made). The Bachman engine is complete other than one coupler box cover (the piece that snaps on the box to hold the body mounted coupler in place. If anybody has this part, I would be happy to purchase.
Also, if anybody is interested in a Tyco Pennsylvania GG-1 shell, please let me know. It is the brown color and includes both phantographs, air horns, window and headlight glass and the body weight. The body is in very nice condition, very few light dings if that. There is no motor, lights, or trucks/wheels...they were used on another locomotive rebuild. If anybody has a need for a GG-1 shell for a rebuild project, please let me know.
