I got this at an auction yesterday:

It runs fine, but has no pilot. Does anybody know where I can get one? I'm thinking of repainting this to Great Northern if I get the parts.

| Okay, those of you who have used yardbird trains--I emailed them on Monday, and I still have not heard back from them. Are they usually slow to respond?

Based on my experience you never will. The only 4-6-2 pilots they have are die cast ones. I have seen original Tyco/Mantua pilots sell on Ebay for as much as $22.

| That's too bad. I sent them an email requesting price information on both the plastic and die cast pilots, but no response. Their system for orders leaves much to be desired. They promise a less than 3 hour response time to emails.

hi i have encountered the same problem, since their move, they have been very slow responding,i did manage to get a diecast one sent a couple of weeks ago,and was told by dan, that he was testing out some new plastic moulds,so at least there is hope ken if i lived there in states i would phone 573-693-3671 quote from yardbird site * Please note our new phone hours - Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 4:00pm (CST). Due to the increase in our business, we will be using weekday evenings and Fridays and Saturdays to process orders. Thank you for your understanding as we attempt to keep our orders current. You can send us email requests at orders@yardbirdtrains.com, and we'll reply back asap. - Dan he had p1112 as shown in photo

| Somewhere in another thread I added to this. He emailed me a couple days after I posted this. The item was shipped very quickly. I think he's just real busy. You might want to call them.
