Hello
Have had several e-mails regarding how to post an image on the TYCO Forum. Here's what I've learned...
Find the image you want to include in your posting and discover its web address. For example if you right click over the TYCO logo on my pages and select properties you'll see the following address:
http://tycotrain.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/tyco_logo.jpg
Now take that address and bracket it with an html command labeling it as an image. Use [ i m g ] at the beginning and after the end of the address you do the same code with a closing slash [ / i m g ]. When you use these commands remove the spaces inbetween the brackets and letters. I had to add spaces in order to keep it from reading the text between and an image.

Hi Tony, So the photo has to be stored on the net somewhere? I can't just upload it from my computer.

Ray,
At present I only understand the method of linking an image, so yes it must already exist somewhere else first. Let me see if there isn't a way to upload the image and I'll post when I know more.

I believe you can upload images from your computer to your profile's image gallery. From there you could take that image's address and insert the picture into a posting.
For example, I uploaded the image of the TYCO GP-20 in GM&O from my site to my profile's image gallery. The address for the copy of the image in my gallery is shown below:
http://65.174.230.76/tyco/forum/uploaded/Tony%20Cook/tyco_gp20_gmo.jpg
I got that address by right-clicking on the image and taking the address from the info on the properties screen. This is MicroSoft IE that I'm using, but I believe any/all browsers display this information.

Hi Everyone,
I am the forum keeper so to speak. I'm going to make it easy for everyone to get pictures up here on the server. Just bear with me for a little bit. Between work and the holidays I just don't have the time.
I know pictures are very important for this type of subject matter so I'll get to it soon. Maybe tonight if it goes smoothly.

Another quick tip. When posting, change the format mode to prompt, it really helps guide you along with a lot of things.
