I am looking for a Rivarossi/AHM #1221 0-4-0 shifter No.98
in good condition and preferably with original box. Does anybody
have one for sale ?

the one I was outbid on a few days ago went for $66.77 which is very reasonable
considering it was in mint condition and in original box .... there don't seem to be

I wonder why these European production Docksides had a blackened handrail on the pilot in addition to the uncoupling lever, but those imported by AHM never did, even the deluxe models. If it was a cost-cutting move, it hardly seems like one that would have made a difference either way.

Nice example, Ken. Round motor or square?

Hi I Have a swicher like the one in photo but it is differnt some what the windows on cab are red and the linkinage looks cheap?? Itis a 98 though B&O

Rivarossi made a simplified version without as much detail and simplified valve gear.
Life/Like and Varney also made this model.

Hi Ray
I have a 1971/72 Rivarossi catalog and they did make an 0-4-0 with
full valve gear. The cat. no. was 1221 and loco no. 98 (B&O). I am
looking for this particular model infact ..not the later one with the
simplified valve gear.
