I wonder why these European production Docksides had a blackened handrail on the pilot in addition to the uncoupling lever, but those imported by AHM never did, even the deluxe models. If it was a cost-cutting move, it hardly seems like one that would have made a difference either way.
Hi Ray I have a 1971/72 Rivarossi catalog and they did make an 0-4-0 with full valve gear. The cat. no. was 1221 and loco no. 98 (B&O). I am looking for this particular model infact ..not the later one with the simplified valve gear. regards Edgar
