I am offering for sale a Mantua 2-6-6-2T Logging Mallet decorated as Weyerhaeuser Lumber Company's #127. This is from the 1998 Mantua production run (made in China) and is equipped with a Sagami can motor, a flywheel, and a DCC 9-pin harness.
The locomotive runs very well and both headlights (12V grain of wheat bulbs)light up. As well, it has been equipped with Kadee #58 couplers.
I acquired this locomotive as part of a package lot. The locomotive was disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated with fresh plastic-compatible grease. The two separate sets of drivers and valve gear were tested for smoothness by being rolled freely on a mirror, a test they passed. The wheels were cleaned, the unit was rebuilt and broken in. Unit has low runtime since being rebuilt and is has a very low current draw.
The locomotive is surplus to my needs and is being offered for $100.00 plus shipping, or 58% of the cost of a new unit. Make the savings work for you; these are popular locomotives and for very good reason.
I do not have the original box for this unit. It will, however, be securely packed for shipping and will be sent insured at no additional cost.
I accept Money Orders or Paypal. Please contact me if you are interested in this locomotive.
