Hi! I'm looking for some parts to fix my Tyco Spirit of 76 Alco 430s 1 is a late common blue roof model and the other is an early Presidental seal with the lettering model. Check the new members section for my story
I need 4 Yellow airhorns (or black that I can Paint)
1 Front Truck Cover to Fit an early style power truck (it has the metal coupler holder) I have an extra Rear truck cover to trade, the mounting & size is different.
I also need about 4 plastic Tyco Couplers
2 sets of Alco 430 Hand Rails (Yeah I know every one needs them I just thought I'd ask anyway)
A good source for Traction Tires for the Power Trucks,
I can possibly pick up at the Allentown Train Show on Feb 22
Let me know whats available & prices, I considered casting new parts from Resin, The kits is expensive, I would consider it if others were interested in Reproduction Parts for these engines.
Thanks! Jason rack776@yahoo.com

I could use a front truck cover for an early 1974ish power torque drive, it has the mounting with the 2 round pins that were melted in place, it has a rectangular mounting area with square corners, The rear has rounded corners and is about 1/16" shorter, I could make it work but I tought I'd look for the correct part.
I did notice the bottom plastic frame the the font truck snaps into has a crack in it and I could use one of those, the top one that has the "springs" that mounts to the body is still ok
I could use 2 hand rails sets but I probely will end up making my own as these 2 parts box junkers are not worth spending big money on old original NOS Tyco parts.
I cleaned, lubed the gears & polished the armitures, & wheels so both now run! Who Hooo! The hardest part will be screen printing the new decals when I get arround to finishing the Art Work for them.
I can only check this page out on the web Mon-Fri so if I dont respond over the weekend thats why.
Thanks again for all the help! Jason

I also just thought of this, I need the part that fits into the front power truck all I have at the front of the early style engine is a rectangular slot, no place to snap in a coupler, anyone have an extra mount or a photo of what I should be looking for to mount a coupler to the front of the engine?

I will take some pics of what I have over the weekend and you tell me if it's what you need. I really am bad at telling what is what sometimes.

I checked all of my C430's and all but one have the plastic trucks. I do have one brand new pair complete (see below) but no spare parts. If you think that you can use it let me know. The traction tires are in place and in good order. I have plenty of couplers.

Hey Guys I hit the local train show this weekend and I found the last of the missing parts I needed, I also picked up a mint Spirit of 76 alco 430 ( just missing the couplers) for 3 bucks in a junk pile! I bought it and the parts i needed to fix it and the other 2 I have for $7 Great deal! I now have 3 project engines all the parts and 2 matching cabooses I can clean up. Thanks for all the replys & help I really appreciate it.
After I finish up the repairs of the 3 engines I'll post any leftover parts I have to help someone else out. Thanks Again, Jason
