Sorry for the poor photos. I snapped them hastily from an overpass. Check out NickelPlate's link for a proper profile shot. Different units, but the same look. Unfortunately, this doesn't help to identify AMC's unit - except by process of elimination!

Nice! I had some close up pics of the AVR a coworker took but I can't attach them. However two things worth noting about them. The parent company of the AVR also owns the Southwest Pennsylvania Railroad (SWP) and their sister engines are the same color.

SWEET! Uh, OK, that's overused now. LOL. Nice collection,though. I still don't have a Snickers, haven't seen one yet. I'll keep an eye out for that candy car. Do you run yours in a consist at all, or just display them? I hope to have the old wooden ones behind steam, and the more modern ones behind diesel on a DCC setup in the future. I do intend to run mine ( at least occasionally ).

OK with Nelson's help I got the shell off my "Spectrun" Pacific K4. It's the first Version which was really a "tarted up" Plus model.

Nelson and I have been bouncing around the idea about sending it in for replacement. That will cost $25 plus shipping to Bachman, so say a shade over $30.

Now I have no use for a K4 in my collection. This one was given to me as a present when I still was interested in modelling the Pennsy. That no longer being the case I have two options.

1) find a buyer for the new Pacific K4 which is a much nicer full on Spectrum unit. I wanted to see if anyone on the list was interested? I would ship it directly to them unopened, or more likely have it shipped directly from Bachmann to whoever is interested in buying it. I haven't established a price as of yet but it looks like on ebay they are around $120. So if you're interested make me an offer. It won't be anywhere near the going rate thats for sure

2) Scrap it for parts... keep several of the mechanical pieces, and sell the superstructure/pilot etc to a forum member. Would consider making the tender a part of that.

3) Just realized since I was thinking of doing this to my Bowser Pacific. I could grind off the Belpaire and Canadianize this....
