My LOTW is this MDC Boxcab diesel. I've had it for a long time and like it, but was a bit dissatisfied with the ends. They were plain black and disappeared into the shadows. I'd thought of putting chevron stripes on the end, but I'm not so good at delicate masking and painting of fine details.
I was visiting the California State Railroad Museum and saw this cab-forward locomotive. I liked the aluminum painted face and tried it on the boxcab. I think it's an improvement. Thanks, Southern Pacific.
