I had to pay upwards of $35 - $42 for the Tropicana's in the past. I couldn't pass this on up for $10

I recently paid as much for a Tropicanna. Knowing that some of these
unique pieces will end up in the landfill is hard to take. Just another
great piece to your great collection!

Walt, I heard busss talking about a custom Tropicana loco and caboose, I found this while browsing the bay. Check it out! If you get an Athearn F7 chassis you can have a Tropicana F7!

Item # 293602824834

It's basically $20 total. It would be so cool if you got this to head your Tropicana cars!

Yes, Alex... That would be a neat thing to do and who knows, maybe I will purchase that Engine some day! I have several sets of Tyco piggybacks that could be done with. It's a great idea from MicroBen...

Thursday night I actually spent a couple of hours cutting the 6-1/4 inch extension boards to fit the framework. Put a first coat of paint on them for now. Need to hit Lowe's for a bag of screws to mount it down with. This gives me 60 feet more side track to display my cars that are currently in a drawer... The other rails are crooked right now from being disturbed for this addition... Horrible 1st photo quality...

A couple of pix of the added section. Have two full 20 foot tracks down and have to order a turn out switch. I used one for another side track that I added a while back.. Will straighten the tracks along side of each other …

Messing around with the layout a little tonight and I was thinking about the 3 , 20 foot side tracks that I am adding. I already had 1 full 20 foot side track. 80 feet of parking space for my extra train cars. 20 feet will hold 26 of the longer 9 inch box cars by Tyco, or more of the shorter cars... Then I have several other long side tracks around the layout... Still waiting on the pack of Atlas straight track to arrive.

Thanks, Robert. Last night I decided to cut the plywood insert for this section shown here. Thinking of what detail and exactly what to use on this section for around the buildings detail and I'm guessing using blacktop for the parking lots areas. The section is 30x33 inches...

Actually Woolworth closed it's final stores in the U.S. in 1997. I loved that store in the early 80's as most of my train stuff was from there... When I found out there was an AHM train car of Woolworth, I had to have one.

My mess is more just unorganized train cars etc. I still have several new in the box train cars in one drawer that I need to unbox and add to the layout table. I recently made room for more than a hundred larger train cars. I have 35 assorted cars on one of the new 20 foot sections ...
