Another set recently purchased by PGW Railroad in revenue service this afternoon.
F unit 4015 also recently repainted by the reliable employees at Frankford Shops.
The passenger cars were also upgraded with plush seats and modern amenities.
This set will also keep the colors and lettering of a famous railroad.
PGW Railroad owns many heritage sets and proudly showcases them in their operating region.

Some photos last night in western Massachusetts.
The Minuteman Express ready to depart North Adams Massachusetts.
At a guard shanty approaching Hoosac Tunnel.
Six miles east a boxcar has uncoupled from a freight set!
A nearby railroad worker saw this and grabbed the lantern!
He frantically signals that a boxcar blocks the path to the approaching passenger train!
The Minuteman exits Hoosac Tunnel unaware of the danger two miles away!
The engineer notices the lantern light and applies the brakes. Stops in time with no damage. Thanks to the railroad worker.

On a sunny, crisp fall day in 1984, 2 tanker cars in a short Ephrata Valley RR freight train departing Union Depot, derailed at a switch track. The Ephrata Police Department were first on scene, soon to be followed by EVRR MOW crews in a Dodge utility truck, hi-rail Ford pickup truck, and hi-rail fire engine. Soon after, EVRR MOW wreck crane X59 "Big Hook" along with other MOW train cars, arrived to get the cars back on track.
*The inspiration behind this photo happened when 1 of these tanker cars actually derailed while I was operating trains on the layout!*

DD35A Tunnel Test - It's 1970, and the Ephrata Valley RR MOW team is conducting an official test of DD35A #3500 to see if it will clear Mount Flat Top tunnel, which it does successfully. EVRR MOW 1960's trucks include a non-hi-rail Chevy crew-cab, hi-rail Ford crew-cab, and hi-rail Chevy utility truck.
