...in Germany was the legendary class 103. She was the state of the art in the early 1970s. The power was incredible, 10100HP (Short term up to 16000HP). 2003 was the last year of regular service with a few examples still used for some special services. I took the following pictures in 2001 in Munich main station.
The classic livery was red and cream.
Many of them were repainted in a shade of ugly red, but even this could not destroy their elegance.
