Okay - this thread makes me jealous. I don't have ANY trucks yet but as soon as I get a little eBay money I'm going to splurge. Really like the Baskin-Robbins one.

A local flea market near me has Matchbox cars (and I didn't even look for trucks) for 25 cents to one dollar. Is that a good buy? The dollar ones are in the package. I'm so cheap I honestly don't know. Haven't bought Matchbox or Hot Wheels since the 70s.

Hy Tyco Nut,

.25 to $1.00 Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars can be a great deal. Be careful though! Before you know it, you will be collecting them like me, LOL! I like to take abused cars and trucks and rework them into something I can use on the layout. Like the police vehicles below. A few of my Matchbox Regular Wheels are below the police pic..

I hope you enjoy the pics.

Wow - really love those police vehicles - and the display case is nice! I'm going to stick to stuff I want to put in the layout - if I like it, I'll put it in the layout somewhere!

Dang, that's what I want to build! I collect Johhny Lightnings, and I have a '55 Chevy Suburban 1:1, so I collect these buses, too. I had hoped to put one on the Bachmann Hi-Railer chassis and make it actually GO. Thanks for posting this, Shaygetz, it's inspiration for my future project. I have both the Hi-railer and buses, just a matter of mating the two up, if the wheelbase is close.

Hi All,

Boy those are some nice vehicles. Thanks for sharing. I just picked up this batch over the past weekend. The semis are Road Champs. The rest are mostly Hot Wheels with a few Tootsietoy's thrown in.
I really like the Hot Wheels van and Fire Chief car.

Hope you enjoy the picture.

Am gonna try to revive this thread by reposting my Shell Road Train pics I managed to find 2 more Shell tankers Plus this way better pic than webcam

Nevermind the last trailer in the "hole"
Worse I needs is 6 or more of these Dollies

The middle one actually goes a thinner hitch on the tankers but I found out that the 2 silver ones on the ends fit the thin ones as well as the wide hitches

Hi All,

My Wife picked this up for me at a local flea market last weekend. A Matchbox KFC semi. Microbuss, does yours have an interior? This one does not. I am going to have to make one of these for my train game.

Thanks for checking it out.

GIVE it UP, Ben! I want's! The JL, anyway. You said you JUST bought it? I I haven't seen any JL trucks like that in a few years. I remember seeing the coke truck, which I got a few of, but not the Matco Tools truck. I'll have to keep an eye out now ( and hope it doesn't dry out at the shows when I'm looking Thanks for posting that.

Here's one of my new purchases as of tonight, a 1 & 1/2 ton 1958 Chevy LCF. One of my favorite trucks is the 55-59 Chevy Task Force truck. This diecast is of a very rare find, not many diecasts made of the '58-59 Chevy trucks at all. This 1/64th scale model will join my 57 Chevy car and truck fleet in a showcase somewhere. So far I've seen Aqua, Orange, and Yellow cabs for this model, I bought an Aqua and Orange unit at Target. Didn't see any yellow ones.

Picture borrowed off website.

While my favorite is the '57 Chevy truck, I own a 1:1 Suburban of 1955 vintage. And finding this casting of the later dual-headlight trucks is awesome! Too bad I can't make it work in an HO setting, it's just too big. Oh well.
