Here's a photo of my Life-Like McDonalds Kit & box. I bought it as a sealed kit and it had the original sales sticker on one end. The Ebay seller who listed this kit had no idea that it was anything more than a model kit, and was amazed at the selling price as later mentioned in our contact. This is a neat kit.
NOTE the little fish sandwich sign hanging under the front Golden Arch sign. This little sign looks like excess plastic when building the kit and is often "cut off" during assembly. Oddly, the model on the Buildems BOX does not have the fish sandwich sign.

I had a similar experience Walt. I picked one up at a show and paid 20$ for it at first then someone came looking for me ......I ended up paying 60$ for it when it was said and done with....The seller of the building stepped out to get breakfast and a guy next to him that wasnt running his table sold it to me the first time. Its sealed in the box and I havent taken it out of the storage box for 2 years. I`ll probably put it up on ebay someday. Its been a long day...sorry if im not making sense...lol

Here is the Pizza Hut in Lancaster, Ohio. It still looks like the Tyco Kit one. Note the angled window trim.

I have several of these kits now, all built. the KFC, the Freezee, the Pizza Hut. I don't yet have a McDonalds. I may have a Burger King unbuilt. Actually, I bought 3 kits off Ebay a few years ago, the BK was one, I forget the other two, will have to find them. All unbuilt. Would make a neat HO train module display to have them all together, there is a convention center near my work, and there are about 9 fast-food businesses crammed in one location to serve that venue. All standalone but in rows. I could duplicate that. :) Maybe one day....

It looks nice, but I don't plan to get one for my layout. Besides, I've already got the Life-Like KFC (fully endorsed by Colonel Sanders in the '70s, even!) and the AHM/TYCO Pizza Hut and Burger King on my layout.

I had modify my original post because the wrong photos ended up there.
The McDonald's is a nice kit and I'm glad I bought one years ago... It's usually expensive and most don't want to pay the high cost of it.
Life-Like kits have a little better detail right out of the box than Tyco. A Tyco kit built without painting and other detail doesn't look very cool. I'm excited to see what degree of detail I can finish my Tyco fast food buildings and others...

I've been thinking about getting a 3D printer and making some kits of things like the rare McDonalds and such. 3D print a Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Hamburgler, etc.
Starting my Tyco and other favorites collection over again after 37 years. My still in progress list of inventory and wantlist: tyconut.com

Gosh, why did McDonald's get rid of those characters, anyway? All they did was replace them with a mildly creepy Happy Meal box with a face.

I bought a used model of the iconic restaurant months ago.
Cleaned it and added decorations to hide its glue stains and slight separations.

Thank you Randy. When I bought it used it had glue stains and dirt and separations. Cleaned it.
I just bought some cheap stickers at a discount store to decorate it. Added tiny foliage and figures to brighten it.

This would be nice in either kit form or built up.
Seems to be an earlier style of their restaurant. Probably when they first started.
