It replaced the PTed (power torqued) Alco 430 and technically that's what it is. Is it powered?
I think this was made by Mehano in Hong Kong according to the Tyco Trains Resource ,(TTR). Do you have more of these 430s in different roadnames?

Bob--definitly a Alco 430 as Alco fan stated. Looks like it was going to be done for the ICG road by the colors of it. Tyco trucks undrneath. Molded plastic handrails. The white loks like you can see through it

The shell looks like it was cast out of slow cure urethane, which is better for picking up details.

That's the Mehano-made subsitute C430. Technically, it was not made by Tyco; it is also different than the Pemco version. And yes, the THIRD attempt to bring a 16-prototype model to the HO market was as comically inaccurate as the first two.

It was NEVER sold separately, but it did appear in certain Tyco train sets (roadnames were Santa Fe and Virginian). The drive and trucks are standard Mehano fare, as seen in numerous AHM and Model Power locos over the years.

Oddly enough, Tyco did picture a drawing of this locomotive on the back of their 1982+ loco boxes, even though any 430s packaged within were of the classic 1966 variety.

BWAHA what a trip! Here's what it SHOULD have said:
