Hello happy members!
After reading the fabulous Ephrata Valley RR thread several times (4'x4' version), I decided to build a layout like this one. It won't be a "copycat" layout, I can guarantee that ! The dimensions are 3'3"x 4'. Because I love to watch the trains rolling by, two main tracks will be laid. There is a 1' background (the paint is on the way). That's all for today !

I'm honored to hear that the original 4x4 Ephrata Valley RR layout inspired you to create this.
Cool layout - I like how instead of all corners being the same, the one corner is rounded off. So will you be connecting this layout with your other layout or have 2 separate layouts?

I cut one corner just because I need some space to move around the layout. Two separate layouts because I have no room for two layouts at the same time.

| CPL57, nice job with the layout. The green color reminds me of the movies/TV shows that use a green background and put the characters/scenes in later. Do you plan to put some scenery along the corners where the green base meets the blue background? That would be a great transition. You can definitely see this on RPs layout.

I am seeing a large volcano in the center, quietly simmering.
Actually, before digital photography, I created one in HO scale
using an inverted chicken wire tomato planter. In the crater, a
bowl of water was placed with one of those "steam" generators
used for halloween pumpkins.
One of my more creative inspirations, but took up a lot of room, so
eventually it was disposed of. The base later became the "Two Seasons"
second gen steam layout.

Due to my complete lack of PC skill, my CPL57 account no longer works. I tried using a new email. Fatal error ! My CPL57 account is completely dead.
So I created this new account: CPL. I hope it'll work very longer. Two account for the same guy is against the Forum Law. Am I under arrest for that crime ?

I'd like to know which Forum it was that gave you the boot. I'm on two British Rail Forums, both similar, but both have pros and cons. I have a feeling which one it might have been, one is a bit stodgey.
Of all the Forums, this one is breezy, people are familiar, and the trend is to only make positive comments. Not a hard and fast rule, but the culture is to keep it happy and avoid personality clashes. Bottom line we're all here to enjoy each other's product.
