The Forum assiduously avoids the political, and for good reason, so without going there, suffice it to say given the events of the last week in Uvalde, has left everyone in a dark mood. I haven't wanted to do anything creative this week, so very little posts on my part. Lot of bad stuff going on routinely, coast to coast, but this one particularly heinous. The Forum is where creative, smart, clever people gather to share their contributions in celebration. My warmest regards to you all. Sooner or later, we will have to remount the horse that threw us and move forward.

Very terrible situation which should never have happened. That person had too much hate in his mind to commit those atrocities. A simple hobby would have led him down a different path. And he and his victims would be alive today. What if?

It's not a good time for America. God bless the victims...

WKS hit the nail on the head. There is too much hate in America to-day. Whatever happened to Love Thy Neighbour?
The fact that this happened in small town Texas shows that it can happen anywhere. In the past ten years or so, we've had three similar incidents in my city, the last being in a synagogue. If you're not safe in a house of God, where are you safe?
