Amber Heard beat Johnny Depp over the head with his model train. He is suing for domestic caboose.

Here's an intriguing one that was just listed on Ebay at an exorbitant price.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/384890624411?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11021.m43.l1120&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=742999f67d16443e8cb0ef835c1a11ed&bu=44052686574&ut=RU&osub= The seller claims the US government sued Tyco to prevent the sale of these cars. The whole thing sounds fishy to me, like the seller was tapping into people's fear of the government and love for conspiracies to jack up the price of this listing. A google search turned up NO records of such a lawsuit. SOme reference to such a suit should come up in a search due to public records law. Or at least some reference made to it on a collectors website, ala the unauthorized McDonalds kits. Yet I can find nothing.
DOes anybody have further information on this? If true it's an intriguing story. If not, it's yet another shady listing on ebay....

I have to agree that the seller is getting his stories confused. GIC was pretty exhaustive with his Tyco reasearch as well as Tony Cook. If these are rare it is because they were all thown out in the trash! Unpainted shells with weepy, transparent printing.

Here is my car of the week. Everyone here at This Tyco Site has seen and probably has this Pennsylvania Railroad Gondola. Here is it as I got it at the outdoor sale At the Lehigh and Keystone Model Railroad Club in Bethlehem Pa a few weeks back. It came in an original box. frank

well there was that loco that used the Prez Seal on it & Tyco later modified the logo
PLUS the butt of the gun looked phallic so even that was removed I have the red white & blue version of that car unmodified
EDIT: IF I ever find those cars I will get them

Yeah I can see those bicentennial cars being collectable. But not at $225 a pop, and making up a story about the government to drive up the price of those cars is outright fraud. Next time I am at a train show I'm going to have to pay closer attention to all those old boxes of freight cars that are often stashed under the vendors tables.

This is very interesting. These cars do not come up for bid very often, thus are priced higher than other more common Tyco products. There was a Tyco / Lego lawsuit in the late 1980s, but I've never heard of Tyco being sued by the government. I agree that the seller is trying justify the high prices with these references.

I have never seen that Tyco all red with the Minutemen and the Bicentennial Logo. Wonder what he got for it?
