Hi
I have purchased Tyco 933 Piggyback loader and loader set off ebay and the forks on the forklift don't go up and down.
It appears to be electrically connected to the controller as there is a current drawn when the controller up and down switch is activated.
does any one know how to dismantle the forklift?

Some folks here will know a lot more than I, but I've tinkered a little
with Tyco things. First, disassemble it removing what screws you must,
or gently prying back retention tabs.
From there it is a bit of detective work to figure out the knee-bone-
connected-to-the-thigh-bone sort of deduction. These things, all of
these Tyco contraptions, were not lubricated, so a dab of grease may
be all that is needed, and perhaps some lever is hung up somewhere.
Do let us know how it goes. A most interesting piece.

thanks Chops I will place some disassebly photos when I start to deconstruct
it appears to be glued together but I suspect there are tongue and slot sections

Don't know that Tyco accessories were glued in the factory. Maybe done
by the previous owner who broke connections while trying to fix it himself.
This may call for a box cutter or exacto knife to gently slice thorugh the
glued areas. If, indeed, he had it open before you, the prognosis may not
be so good.

Thanks for your advice chops it seems the motor had seized. I managed to remove the forklift from the platform and de-solder the forklift from the main wiring, which allowed me to apply a voltage (about 10V) to the motor and move the mechanism while the voltage was applied.
Hey presto the forks began to move by themselves so I did not need to dis-assemble the forklift.

The trick to embedding images is to resize the images to no more than 1000 pixels across. Avoid any #$!@$ type symbols, including underscores.
